Privacy Policy

Last updated May 30th, 2020. Change history available further down.

With GDPR grace period now over, we are happy to inform that we have always been committed to our customers’ privacy anyway, without having to be compelled by law to do so. Thus our privacy policy remains unchanged.

Going an extra mile – beyond the GDPR

You will find our formal privacy policy further down. Here we would like to tell you what extra steps we have taken so far to limit your exposure to data collectors and what our future plans in this regard are.

Done So Far

  • removed social media buttons (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) entirely from our website’s code. It is now more difficult for those companies to track your visit to this website.
  • we made our live chat load only on demand. This means the live chat company (live chat is vital to our business) cannot track users who do not use live chat. Tracking is furthermore limited only to the actual page on which the user loaded the live chat script by clicking live chat button.
  • We host locally as much of javascript as possible and thus limit our visitors’ exposure to tracking by CDNs
  • We keep an eye on deleting orders that are older than one year – this way should our database is ever compromised we can limit our customers’ exposure to one year’s orders.
  • We keep an eye on software updates and vulnerabilities

Still To Do

  • Hosting fonts locally – externally hosted fonts are convenient but not private
  • Replacing current web analytics solution with privacy oriented, self-hosted one
  • Replacing live chat with privacy oriented self-hosted one (tests underway)
